This is the next in the highly successful deluxe edition series of Rick Waleman’s classic albums.

Says Rick, “Another soundtrack album and not bad as soundtrack albums go. It’s a shame DVD wasn’t about at the time as it would have made a nice sporting DVD release.”

Narrated by Sean Connery, with music by Rick Wakeman, G’ole! captures the highly charged atmosphere of those few weeks in Spain, when the World’s top 24 teams gathered to do battle.

It features…Italy winning despite half their squad being suspended for match fixing. Germany and Austria fixing their result to eliminate Algeria. A Kuwaiti Sheik invading the pitch and successfully getting a goal over turned. The Germany v France Semi Final which featured the worst foul in World Cup history, when Germany’s goalie Schumacher broke Patrick Battison’s jaw. Schumacher then helped Germany beat France in the first ever penalty shoot out. 17 year old Maradona’s arrival on the international scene – then getting sent off for kicking a Brazilian in the nuts. Northern Ireland beating hosts Spain (that goal from Trainspotting). And England getting knocked out despite not losing a game. It was an amazing tournament.

Not only that, we get to see New Zealand’s players getting a half time bollocking and topless girls on the beaches. This is FIFA after all.

Age 23 Sean Connery played for Bonnyrig Rose FC. Sir Matt Busby was impressed by his fellow Scot, offering him a £25-a-week contract at Old Trafford. “I really wanted to accept because I loved football,” recalled Connery. “But I realised that a top-class footballer could be over the hill by the age of 30, and I was already 23. I decided to become an actor and it turned out to be one of my more intelligent moves.”

Los Angeles – Renowned electric violinist David Cross, best known for his work with King Crimson and prolific solo career, presents this new collection of studio recordings featuring a diverse array of styles and moods!

The collaborative album includes both instrumental tracks as well as vocal performances by guest singers Sonja Kraushofer of L’Ame Immortelle, Anne-Marie Hurst of Skeletal Family, acclaimed Israeli singer Ofra Haza, Christian Death vocalist Eva O and more!

“Crossing the Tracks” is an exciting new departure for me. 

Cleopatra Records and producer Jurgen Engler presented me with twelve tracks and gave me free reign to play on all of them, hence ‘Crossing the tracks.’

This was an unusual situation for me as I am generally composer/performer/producer, albeit in collaboration with other band members, and I wasn’t sure how I would fare as a ‘session’ player.
However the lure of artistic freedom and a new musical challenge was too strong to resist.

I wanted to stay true to the existing compositions and performances by the other artists and yet create an impact on the music by adding melody, string parts and solos. I surprised myself by having real fun doing this – I just had to play the violin and follow my instincts (leaving those difficult production decisions to Jurgen!). 

I love the cover artwork – heading for the light at the end of the tunnel without getting derailed!

The Elements Tour Box was originally devised specifically as a one-off edition for the 2014 King Crimson tour but has since become an in-demand series with subsequent editions in 2015, 16 & 17 becoming firm sellers.

Chilean Prog Ensemble Aisles Premiere Last Video of Live Series and Announce EP

The “Live from Estudio del Sur” sessions will be out on July

Chilean Prog ensemble Aisles, South America’s most acclaimed prog band of the last 10 years, is premiering the last video of their “Live from Estudio del Sur” sessions, for the song “Club Hawaii”, which was originally released on the album “Hawaii” (2016). The clip was directed by Bernardo Quesney, who has worked with artists like Gepe and Javiera Mena.

Says Aisles guitarist, German Vergara, “We knew that ‘Club Hawaii’ could not be left out of this live series. It’s a very collective effort in which we incorporated elements from electronic and Latin music, pop, jazz, and even metal, so as to transport the listener to the future in which the concept of the album takes place. We used more distortion, sounded heavier than usual and Sebastián recites a heart wrenching poem in the darkest section of the song. Personally it’s my favorite on the ‘Hawaii’ album and I’m very proud of my lyrics. When playing it live I get goosebumps every time we reach the part ‘Turn my soul into flesh and soil and blood and waves…’”

The session started with the video for ‘Clouds Motion’, and it continued with ‘Shallow and Daft’, ‘Still Alive’, and ‘Club Hawaii’. With four studio albums and a career spanning thirteen years, Aisles have become South America’s most acclaimed prog act of the last decade. New Horror/Comedy Feature Film “The Tome” To Be Released 2019!

Charleston, SC – Shadowmoss Entertainment in association with Respiration Films today announced that Pre-Production has begun for the horror/comedy feature film, “The Tome.”

Award winning screenwriter Adrian Roman will direct the film and is also Producing along with Executive Producer Scott James and Associate Producer Abby Sensenbaugh. The screenplay is locked, and a website for the film is available for interested parties, including additional production partners and investors. Social Media is launching now. Composer Will Goss has signed on to write the original score.

Scott James is quoted as saying, “We intend to attach A-list talent for the leads, but also, in a strategy to assure profitability, we are reaching out to social media influencers with millions of followers for smaller roles.” Writer/director Adrian Roman adds, “In writing the screenplay, I wanted to tap into the popular horror genre, but also tell a story that is unique. There have been successful horror/comedies in the past such as ‘American Werewolf in London’ and ‘Beetlejuice,’ and ‘The Tome’ lands somewhere in between those two. The script has a strong female lead, who is a sassy, confident person, but who also shows a wide range of emotions. We are looking for a known, highly talented woman who is twenty-five to thirty years old. Several names have come up but we are on a national search for her and we’re seeing who rises to the top. This is the kind of role that would be a ‘Pretty Woman’ moment for the right actress.”

To round-out their strong production team, the Producers are vetting Cinematographers, Sound Professionals, Make-Up Artists, CGI/Animators, and others.

Associate Producer, Abby Sensenbaugh says, “This is an Ultra Low Budget Project, under $625,000. It will be shot in the Charleston, South Carolina area with a few scenes in Asheville, North Carolina. I got involved with the film after having read the script. People will definitely jump out of their chairs, but also find themselves laughing and even in one scene, crying. It’s a very unique horror film.”

The logline reads, “A young woman, a petty thief, mistakenly steals a book called The Guide which is an instruction manual on how to track down an ancient book called The Tome. The Tome, according to legend, provides it’s possessor with god-like powers. She follows the clues, finds The Tome, and then all hell breaks loose.”

In addition to an original score, the producers are acquiring the rights to five iconic ’70s rock tunes to incorporate into the movie which will further expand the audience demographic beyond the normal young adults that favor horror films.

Principal photography for the film is slated to begin in October 2018.

Says bassist Bob Madsen, “What started as an inside joke has actually become a pretty cool lil’ tune. One evening the band was wondering why you never hear Prog in a Strip Club? That just seemed unfair. So 41POINT9 set out to rise to the challenge and correct this tragic wrong. Hence, ‘Confessions At Midnight’ was born. For the first time Progsters can now hear ‘Prog In A Strip Club.’ Gentlemen, yer welcome… This video tells the story of a burlesque dancer that falls in love with her Emcee and the sparks sure do fly! Enjoy!”

41POINT9 came about in a dark, cobweb filled corner of Bob Madsen’s mind. One day whilst navel gazing, he thought to himself, “My, there’s a lot of lint in there.” Err…umm…scratch that…what I meant to say is… he thought to himself, “If its unlikely I’ll ever make money making music, then I’m just gonna make music that I want to hear and that I enjoy making.” With that decided, he went back to wondering why the lint was blue when he was wearing a red sweatshirt…

Such was the genesis of this group of misfits from Northern California. In 2011 they released their debut album “Still Looking For Answers” to critical acclaim and way more success than was warranted based on the small budget they had for marketing.

From 2013 to 2016 the band took a break and dealt with life. In the process the band has consolidated to two core members: Brian Cline (Guitarist/Vocalist) and Bob Madsen (Bassist/Producer). In early 2016 Bob started The Highlander Company Records with renowned Engineer/Producer Tom Size (Journey, Mr. Big, David Lee Roth etc) Tom immediately remixed the band’s first album and was halfway through mixing the second, “Mr. Astute Trousers” when he succumbed to cancer in October of 2016. The guys were fortunate enough to enlist the help of Matt Wallace who just happened to be one of Tom’s old students. Matt finished the album in the summer of 2017 and helped get them introduced to AISA, LLC who provided 41POINT9 with access to international distribution and manufacturing. Both albums were remastered by the award winning mastering engineer Dave Collins (Elton John, Soundgarden etc) and the results are astounding.

For the past year Bob and Brian have been producing a series of high quality concept videos for songs on “Mr. Astute Trousers.” These videos are set to be released this summer with the albums slated for release on September 21, 2018.

London – The John Wetton Estate and Geoffrey Downes are pleased to announce the re-release of the iCon Trilogy of albums, now remastered with bonus tracks in six panel digipacks.

The re-releases have been personally overseen by Geoff Downes and are intended to be a return to the marketplace of individual albums for fans who may wish to purchase a definitive edition.

Of his song-writing relationship and the formation of iCon, Geoff Downes says, “Throughout my entire career, there is no doubt in my mind, that some of my proudest achievements have been the songs that I wrote with the late John Wetton. Not only were we great friends, but also blood brothers in the song-writing department. The Pineapple Thief  have revealed their first single, entitled “Far Below” from forthcoming new studio album Dissolution. The highly anticipated follow up to 2015’s Your Wilderness, is the band’s second album to feature King Crimson and Porcupine Tree virtuoso drummer Gavin Harrison.

Vocalist, songwriter and guitarist Bruce Soord explains the song’s evolution “’Far Below’ began life as a bit of a jam session between myself and Gavin. Gavin had this distinctive 6/8 rhythm going and it didn’t take long for me to find the melodies. And so, a song was born. Is it my favourite track from the album? Impossible to judge as the album covers so much ground. But it does showcase what the four of us want The Pineapple Thief to be about and I for one can’t wait to play this one live.”

Bruce Soord reveals more about the themes within Dissolution“broadly speaking the title reflects the disintegration of relationships and the undoing of our social fabric. We’re living in a time when supposedly we are more connected than ever before, but, I personally am at my happiest when I unplug that connection.”

Bruce Soord elaborates on the writing and recording process “We’ve once again been joined by Gavin Harrison. It’s been a real collaborative journey between the 4 of us writing and recording this record, with the songs taking on a life of their own. When everyone pulls in the same direction, amazing things can happen. The Pineapple Thief is a different proposition with Gavin. This time he was with me from the inception of ‘Dissolution’ and together we took the songs into territory I wouldn’t have found on my own. We found ourselves pushing each other so much further, both technically and artistically. There were times in the depths of the writing and recording process, which took 6 months, that I felt so exhilarated but at the same time exhausted and overwhelmed, that I couldn’t imagine us ever finishing the record. Every day we found ourselves finding that extra something we didn’t know we had. None of us would let anyone or anything get in the way of what we felt the album should become. I look back on the process with immense pride”

Gavin Harrison stated “It’s been fantastic to collaborate with these guys again – especially as this time I’ve been involved from the ground up. It’s been a most inspiring effort and I think it will prove to be the best yet.” 

Dissolution was recorded across the UK at the band member’s various studios, Bruce explains “The drums were recorded and mixed by Gavin at his studio, ‘Bourne Place’ in London. He has the best sounding live room I have heard and gets an incredible drum mix. Gavin would send me a stereo drum mix that he would constantly tweak as the songs progressed. Jon records his bass at his studio north of Leicester. Steve records his keyboards at his mastering studio in Exeter and I record and mix the rest here in my studio (Soord Studios) in Yeovil, Somerset. It may seem odd that we were able to create something as ‘a band’ when we are so far apart. But we talked almost daily. Technology means ideas can be shared instantly. We were effectively jamming a lot of the time. Just a bit further apart.”

Dissolution features cover art artwork from iconic design agency Stylorouge, who have produced artwork for the likes of Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Blur and the British film Trainspotting.

The Pineapple Thief have grown to become one of the leading lights of Europe’s experimental rock domain, Your Wilderness produced 4m+ album streams, a #7 in the UK Independent Charts and two extensive headline European tours culminating at London’s Islington Assembly Hall where the concert was recorded for the live release Where We Stood.
