JEFF CANNATA RETURNS AS ARC ANGEL CANNATA WITH THE BRAND-NEW ALBUM A KALEIDOSCOPE OF MADNESS ARRIVING OCTOBER 16 VIA DEKO ENTERTAINMENT
FIRST SINGLE “DOPAMINE” AVAILABLE NOW
Stockton, NJ – Jeff Cannata, best known for his acclaimed work under the Arc Angel banner, returns with a brand-new chapter in his musical journey. Reintroducing the project as Arc Angel Cannata, he will release the highly anticipated new album A Kaleidoscope of Madness through Deko Entertainment on October 16, 2026.
A multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, and producer, Cannata first gained recognition as a founding member of the influential 1970s progressive rock band Jasper Wrath, which toured extensively before disbanding in 1976. Following the group’s dissolution, Cannata shifted his focus toward a more melodic and expansive studio-driven vision.
Partnering with former Jasper Wrath bandmate Michael Soldan, Cannata developed what would become the legendary Arc Angel project. The duo attracted the attention of Portrait/CBS Records, resulting in the release of the self-titled Arc Angel album in 1983. Featuring fan favorites such as “Stars” and “Tragedy,” the album showcased contributions from acclaimed musicians including Jeff Bova and future Bon Jovi bassist Hugh McDonald. Produced with the involvement of industry veterans Tony Bongiovi, Lennie Petze, and Lance Quinn, the record remains a beloved classic among melodic rock and AOR enthusiasts worldwide.
Now, more than four decades later, Cannata revives the Arc Angel name with A Kaleidoscope of Madness, a powerful new collection that continues his signature blend of melodic rock, AOR, progressive rock, and art-rock influences.
“Music has always been an evolving journey for me. With ‘A Kaleidoscope of Madness,’ the intent was to bridge the melodic AOR and progressive rock structures of the early Arc Angel and Cannata days with distinctly fresh, contemporary sonic landscapes. Beyond the audio, I felt a strong pull to make this a comprehensive visual project, exploring themes of technology and identity, a lifetime of influences looking firmly forward, and I am content to finally let the listener step into this space. ” JC
The album represents the latest chapter in Cannata’s ever-evolving creative journey, following acclaimed releases including Images of Forever, Watching the World, Tamorok, Mysterium Magnum, and Harlequins of Light. Longtime fans can expect the soaring melodies, intricate arrangements, and progressive sensibilities that have defined his career, while new listeners will discover a thought-provoking and contemporary musical vision.
Songs such as “Dopamine,” “Silicon Soldier,” “Elliptical Mind,” and “Zenith Mind” explore themes of technology, psychology, identity, and perception, reflecting both modern anxieties and timeless human questions. The physical packaging elevates the release into a multisensory experience, featuring a comprehensive 16-page booklet curated with the evocative, digital surrealism of artist Arjuna Noor. The imagery deepens the record’s exploration of technology, perception, and human identity.
