THE FALL ANNOUNCE DEFINITIVE FINAL STUDIO ALBUM ‘POST SCRIPT’ ARRIVING THIS AUTUMN ON COG SINISTER RECORDS
SALFORD, UK— Cog Sinister Records is proud to announce the upcoming release of Post Script, the official and final studio album by The Fall. Scheduled for release in autumn, this monumental nine-track collection delivers a definitive final statement from one of the most uncompromising, legendary, and influential cult bands in British music history.
Eight years after the passing of iconic frontman Mark E. Smith, Post Script completes a staggering recording career that spanned five decades. The album is built from archival vocal recordings of Smith tracking from 2001 to 2014, with meticulous musical backing completed posthumously by long-time collaborators and former manager/producers Ed Blaney and Simon Archer.
The album’s lead single, “30 Degrees”—co-written by Smith, Archer, and Blaney in Salford—is out now across all major platforms, giving fans a first taste of the record’s raw, driving energy.

Bristling with Smith’s trademark caustic wit, hypnotic repetition, and jagged post-punk energy, Post Script moves seamlessly from fractured garage-rock grooves to eerie spoken-word pieces and ramshackle anthems. It stands as a vital, authorised coda to a group that famously never compromised, never repeated themselves, and never cared what anyone else thought.
