Micky Dolenz “really looking forward to” White Album tribute tour with Todd Rundgren and other stars
An eclectic group of artists are taking part in a fall U.S. trek that will celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Beatles’ 1968 self-titled double album, a.k.a. The White Album.
Dubbed “It Was Fifty Years Ago Today — A Tribute to The Beatles’ White Album,” the trek kicks off September 21 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and will feature The Monkees’ Micky Dolenz, Todd Rundgren, Christopher Cross, Badfinger’s Joey Molland and ex-Chicago singer Jason Scheff.
Dolenz tells ABC Radio that he’s “really looking forward to” the trek because he’s not only “a huge fan of The Beatles and The White Album,” but also “of Chicago and Badfinger and Todd…and Christopher…all of ’em.”
