John Lodge, legendary bass player, songwriter and vocalist of The Moody Blues, and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, will be back on the road in February and March with his electrifying ‘Performs Days of Future’ show, featuring a first set of Moody Blues classic hits, and a second set of this iconic album, performed in its entirety.

The tour kicks off on February 19th at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY, and includes 12 dates in the NE, Midwest and Florida, plus his appearance on the ‘Rock and Romance Cruise’, sailing out of Fort Lauderdale on March 15. Then John will be taking his show to the UK for the very first time – ‘Bringing it Home’!

Following a stroke at the end of 2023, John has gone from strength to strength, driven by his love for this music, and his deeply held desire to continue to share it with the fans. The critically acclaimed shows in July and November 2024 are testament to his passion and commitment, and as John says, his hope is that people leave with a little bit of joy, and certainly the audience can be seen leaving with Moodies magic around them.

Joining John on stage are his 10,000 Light Years Band featuring Alan Hewitt and Billy Ashbaugh (from the Moody Blues touring band), Duffy King and Jason Charboneau, plus Jon Davison of YES will again be joining John on stage to provide his soaring vocals on ‘Nights in White Satin’ and ‘Tuesday Afternoon’.

“A lot of these places we used to go to as the Moody Blues, and I just want to give the fans a sense of that time again. It may not be a Moody Blues show, but Alan, Billy, Duffy, Jason and, of course Jon, create an incredible energy on stage, and such beautiful music. “Days of Future Passed” was released 58 years ago, and was arguably the start of progressive rock. John has surrounded himself with a band who put simply, love performing together, and who appreciate and respect the legacy of the music. The Moodies may not perform any more, and the loss of Graeme, Ray and Mike is felt deeply, but this show honours John’s friends and the music.

The electrifying show will also be in support of John’s new EP “Love Conquers All” out on Feb 14th, and available now for pre-order on Amazon and other online stores. The 18 show tour begins at the Rialto Theater in Tucson Arizona on April 1st and concludes at the Carteret New Jersey Performing Arts Center on May 18th.  The evening will consist of YES epics and classics as well as songs from the band’s debut album TRUE which was released in August 2024 to worldwide critical acclaim.

Arcata, CA – From the coastal cliffs of Northern California’s Emerald Triangle, guitarist/singer/songwriter PIET DALMOLEN proudly unveils TIME STANDS STILL, his long-awaited debut solo LP releasing January 17, 2025. Boasting eight eclectic compositions, this talisman resonates through an ambitious amalgam of sublime psychedelic rock, soulful jazzy blues, and indie-Americana. Bobbing and weaving amidst the foundational chemistry of bass, drums, and various keyboards, Piet’s superb guitar and understated vocals coalesce to create a dense, potent vessel of joy and vulnerability.

A veteran studio engineer and session guitarist for two decades, Dalmolen toured nationally in the mid-aughts with jam upstarts Nucleus, and subsequently gigged with numerous Northern California bands. These days he’s in DIY-mode across multiple roles for this intensely personal passion project. Ably assisted by Matt Engel on keyboards, Tommy Fitzmaurice on drums, and Ian Taylor on bass, TIME STANDS STILL was tracked across several sessions in 2023 at Odyssey Studios, a rustic barn situated on a prairie overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Here Piet Dalmolen was able to keep his focus solely on creativity and bandleading, and once the basic tracks were laid down, he overdubbed additional guitar and vocals at his own Universal Balance Studios in Arcata, CA, throughout 2024.

Taking in stride some big personal life changes after the disruption of the pandemic, and as an enthusiastic new surfer, PIET DALMOLEN took a much-needed vacation to Maui in the summer of 2023. It was an influential trip for Piet that resulted in most of the music heard on TIME STANDS STILL. This intentional collection reveals a reluctant poet reawakened, mining inspiration from life’s trials and tribulations, and discovering knowledge of self amid the glorious environs of sacred Hawaiian Islands. Piet was staying in Lahaina when the dry hurricane winds swept the now infamous fires down from the mountain into town, and he fled on foot with guitar on his back, eventually hitchhiking to the airport.

PIET DALMOLEN had spent the previous 15 years gigging with other bands and playing covers, and while grateful to be playing regularly, it was a long dry spell from creating his own music. Feeling inspired to dive back in and with a wealth of new material, he picked his local dream team of musicians and watched it all fall into place. “I love my band for their talent, aesthetic, and easy-going personalities,” says Piet. “The older I get the more I appreciate having the right people that I can rely on and have fun with, and thankfully they believe in my musical vision.”

TIME STANDS STILL was written, produced, mixed, and mastered all by PIET DALMOLEN. On this solo opening salvo, PIET DALMOLEN monologues abstract musings, illustrated with ruminations on love, loss, fatherhood, mortality, and new beginnings. Sturdy songcraft couched in a bare-bones analog aesthetic, the gritty grooves get drizzled with earthy textures and tasty guitar tones, whispering sweet melodies that make the eyes well up and chest weigh heavy. Music manifested in the wake of seismic change, waves of grief and personal evolution, TIME STANDS STILL traverses a wide swath of emotional and sonic topography: Floydian dreamscapes, prog-scented improv, sizzling surf-rock, while touching a plethora of points between.

The track “Being” serves as a lyrical centerpiece. Piet wrote the first chorus on his hotel balcony anticipating the arrival of the Maui storm, and the second chorus on the plane ride home. “The pretty guitar coda is something that just came out of me the morning of the fires,” says Piet, “before we had any idea what was to come. And the wave sounds are my own field recording from the trip, not stock. It feels poetic to have them timelessly etched into a record that means so much to me.”

There will be a TIME STANDS STILL record release event featuring the full band at the Arcata Playhouse on January 18, followed by Bay Area shows at Mac’s 19 Broadway in Fairfax on February 15, and at The Back Room in Berkeley on February 16.

Formed in the early 1960s by art students Vivian Stanshall and Rodney Slater, the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band began as a jazz ensemble parodying the music of the 1920s and 30s before evolving into a pioneering force in rock and comedy. Their satirical songs and eclectic performances quickly made them a favorite on the London underground scene. They gained national fame through appearances on the TV show “Do Not Adjust Your Set,” which also featured future members of Monty Python. Known for their hit “I’m the Urban Spaceman,” produced by Paul McCartney under the pseudonym Apollo C. Vermouth, the Bonzos left an indelible mark on the British music and comedy landscape.

Studio City, CA – Lightyear Entertainment announces that it will release a spinoff of the acclaimed “Get Thrashed: The Story of Thrash Metal” (2006) titled “Get Thrashed: Around the World” on Tuesday, December 10th.

Nearly 20 years after the release of the original Get Thrashed¸ Lighyear has teamed up with the film’s director, Rick Ernst, to create a brand-new feature using a mix of deleted scenes, unused interviews, and updated graphics. “Around The World” takes audiences on a global journey through the thrash metal phenomenon, highlighting lesser-known bands and thrash metal scenes that reveal the genre’s international impact. Focusing on individual countries like Germany, France, UK, Norway, Denmark, Brazil, Japan, Australia, and many more, even the most hardcore of thrash metal fans are sure to learn something new.

The new film has also been mastered in 1080p using up-to-date technology that was not available in 2006 for the original “Get Thrashed” movie.

With interviews from members of legendary bands like Metallica, Slipknot, Slayer, Megadeth, and dozens more who didn’t appear in the original, “Around The World” showcases exclusive insights into the genre’s influence beyond the United States, illustrating how thrash metal became a cultural force across continents.

In addition to a newly recorded foreword, intermission, and afterword from Rick Ernst, “Around The World” also features a full section on American bands that weren’t mentioned in the “The Story of Thrash Metal.” These new interviews are paired with archival concert footage and behind-the-scenes photos, helping paint a richer and more in-depth picture of the American thrash metal scene.

Whether a die-hard fan or a newcomer, audiences will find something new in this compelling exploration of thrash metal’s worldwide reach.

“Get Thrashed: Around The World” is set to release digitally on Tuesday, December 10th.

Status Quo has endured for over 50 years and is known for worldwide hits and tours to millions of fans across the globe.

This compilation collects together, for the first time, many of the band’s rare tracks from the late 1990s and early 2000s, some of which have been unavailable for over 20 years.

Until now, many of these tracks have only been available on CD singles, a soundtrack, or editions of albums only available in one country.

This remastered compilation is supported by the band and has been overseen by the recordings’ original producer, MIKE PAXMAN, who has also written liner notes for the release.

Mike Paxman said of the release: “Known for their hard driving style, it’s fitting that this Status Quo collection is called ‘Driving To Glory.’ Many of the songs included were recorded for soundtracks or to go with non-album single releases – this collection brings them together for the first time.”

Chicago – Living thousands of miles apart, United States based, award-winning multi-instrumentalist, Paul Adams, and Australia based, award-winning pianist, flugelhorn instrumentalist and vocalist, Elizabeth Geyer, have been creating music together from opposite ends of the globe since their debut collaboration, “Imaginings.” Across the oceans and continents, something definitely worked synergistically and continues to work. Their album won the award, “Contemporary Instrumental Album of the Year” at the Zone Music Reporter Awards in 2015. Following, “Imaginings,” came “Deeper Imaginings” and “Sanctuary,” the New Age Music Guide’s “Album of the Year” of 2022.

Continuing to unfold the timeless, spiritual sanctuary that has become a trademark of their music, came the (December 2023) single from this new album, “A Journey of Dreams.” The full album release of “A Journey of Dreams” met with delays after the success of the single but is finally released on 11/15/24. It involves Adams’ creative musical talent and his collection of exotic world instruments as well as the electric sitar he made in the days when he was a luthier. Their successful journeys have amassed over 138 million streams on Pandora as well as regular programming on SiriusXM Radio.

Blended with Elizabeth Geyer’s sensitive piano, flugelhorn and instrumental vocalizations, “A Journey of Dreams,” continues the beautiful and exotic flow of their previous releases. Adams said, “We wanted to focus on beauty, especially as the world seems to be in such deep chaos.” When referring to Geyer’s solo album projects, Bruce Lundvall of Blue Note Records called Elizabeth “A brilliant musician and songwriter.” For “A Journey Of Dreams,” Elizabeth says her intention was to create a place of safety and home. “Imagine a place where you once came from, where you will go back to, and a place you sometimes visit in dreams.”

With its exotic artistic nature and chill ethnic impressions, Adams describes the album as offering a bit of artistic and spiritual pragmatism. “It’s all right here on ‘circus Earth’ – from the heinous to the sublime. We felt a need to create something that might focus on the deep beauty we are all capable of. We feel as if God, nature, or whatever you wish to call it, is challenging us. ‘She’s’ wondering if we have the interpersonal maturity and cultural skills to work together in this rapidly changing, growing, yet shrinking world.”
