Stockton, NJ – Blind Revolution is a modern Italian Hard Rock/AOR band from Sicily who were formed in 2010, by the brothers Simone and Cristiano Sipione, respectively guitars and vocals, who decided to give life to a new band after several previous musical endeavors. Known for their 80s-inspired sound with catchy riffs and big choruses, heavily influenced by classic bands like Journey, Whitesnake, and Bon Jovi.

Driven by the will to honor their idols and music influences they found experienced bassist Massimiliano Ricciardo who was the perfect rhythm section partner. Natural chemistry was immediately born between the three, which soon became a great friendship. After a few personnel changes, they caught a lucky break and welcomed Giovanni Maucieri on drums, one of the most talented drummers in the area and completed the line-up of Blind Revolution. They released their debut album Money, Love, Light in 2020.

They are now following it up with their sophomore release Far From The Sun featuring ten brand new songs like the first single and title track “Far From The Sun”. Within a few months of starting production, arrangements for nearly half of the album were completed, however, one of the members had other commitments which caused a slowdown and prolonged the recording sessions. Thus, in 2024, after ten years with the band, drummer Giovanni Maucieri decides to leave to pursue other projects. The remaining members, however, didn’t lose heart and, after a few auditions, found Angelo Moretto to be the right person to step in and become the new official drummer.

The guys are very excited about their new release and as Cristiano explains, “Everyone says this about their own work, but we genuinely couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve accomplished with Far From the Sun. These songs represent exactly who Blind Revolution are today — one hundred percent.” Simone continues, “Far From the Sun is an album that reconnects you with your most visceral emotions: it can make you angry and fire you up, push you to reflect and then let yourself go. It’s powerful rock music that speaks straight to the soul.”

Massimiliano adds, “The writing and production process took quite some time, but we’re convinced it was worth every moment. The songs have always come first, and we truly believe they come across as honest and authentic.” Moretto concludes, “This album is especially meaningful to me as it’s my first recording of original material. ‘Far From The Sun’ blends powerful melodic riffs, driving rhythms, and memorable harmonies, and I hope it resonates with listeners.” The full album drops March 13th through Deko Entertainment.

Tom Griesgraber is releasing a new album called The Split. The album is currently available as CD and multi-format download on tomgriesgraber.com, with a wider release planned for March 6 including Bandcamp. The Split is Tom Griesgraber’s soundtrack album from the feature length documentary film Prairie Prophecy. It includes all nineteen tracks from the film, along with two bonus tracks. The music features Tom Griesgraber on Chapman Stick, analog synths and samples. Tom’s California Guitar Trio bandmate Bert Lams also makes a guest appearance on acoustic guitar.

While Tom Griesgraber is primarily known in progressive rock circles, The Split leans more towards ambient music than much of his other work.

Says Tom, “I tried in writing it to have recurring themes for the subjects being discussed in the movie. The album tracks are in the same order they appear in the movie, with themes and motifs that develop as the album progresses.”

“I tried to also have something thematic with the instrumentation. Generally, when topics being discussed are more about the problems of industrialization the analog synths become more prominent, and when the discussion is more about natural things or the progress scientists are making, the Chapman Stick and orchestral strings are more prominent.”

The film Prairie Prophecy is an engaging exploration of natural systems agriculture and its potential to address some of today’s most urgent environmental challenges. Anchored in the work of The Land Institute, the film traces how perennial farming systems—modeled after native ecosystems—could help restore soil, conserve water, and build resilience in a changing climate. Both educational and hopeful, the program offers a forward-looking perspective on the future of food and land stewardship.

The movie is currently playing at screenings and festivals across the US and will be available to all Public Television stations starting in April 2026.

About Tom Griesgraber:
Tom Griesgraber picked up the Chapman Stick in 1997 after graduating Summa Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music as a guitarist in 1995. In late 1998 he began performing around San Diego County as a Stick player doing both solo shows and performances with his group Agent 22. In 2000, the group won a year-long local battle of the bands at the Belly Up Tavern, beating about 230 other groups. From there venues started having Tom or the group open for nationals. In 2001, he opened for the California Guitar Trio (CGT) at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano. The next year Tom attended a Guitar Craft course taught by Robert Fripp with CGT members Bert Lams and Paul Richards assisting. Afterwards, CGT asked him to go on the road as their opener for about 100 shows over the next few years. Bert Lams from the group and Tom started doing duo tours as well and eventually two albums. In 2021, Bert and Paul Richards asked Tom to join CGT as a regular member.

To date, Tom Griesgraber has also released two other solo albums, one with CGT recorded while opening for King Crimson, two with Agent 22, and a duo album with drummer Jerry Marotta (Peter Gabriel) with whom he also toured internationally for several years. He has performed four times for Grammy events, toured as an opener for The Tony Levin Band, opened multiple times for Carl Palmer, Adrian Belew, Steve Morse and the Dixie Dregs, Al Dimeola and Stick Men and opened shows for Bill Bruford’s Earthworks, Andy Summers, Alan Holdsworth, Stanley Jordan, Steve Hackett, Larry Carlton, Steve Lukather, Paul Stanley, Paula Cole, Tuck and Patti, Asia and dozens of others. Tom has also performed on, produced and/or engineered dozens of albums for other artists including two with RyMo (of Slightly Stoopid), CGT, guitarist Peter Pupping and Dübh.

The Chapman Stick, Tom’s primary instrument is a combination of twelve guitar and bass strings, played in both hands with a technique closer to playing piano than guitar. Multiple outputs allow for simultaneous guitar, bass and keyboard-like sounds but with a unique timbre and unusual musical structures.

She’s been touring, writing, recording and performing since she was 16.

Just back from performing in his former hometown of Hamburg, Germany, Jann Klose is heading to Los Angeles, CA for several performances. On 1/23 He will be on the Martin Guitar Stage at the NAMM Show at the Anaheim Convention Center as well as a show at Trip Santa Monica on 1/24 and a house show in LA on 1/25.

Jann is finishing work on his eighth studio album due for release in June of 2026. He is once again partnering up with “Surrender” producer Marcus Dembinski. Several guest artists are to appear on the album including Everett Bradley (Bon Jovi, Seal), Marcella Detroit (Shakespears Sister, Eric Clapton), Rachel Flowers (Dweezil Zappa), Alphonso Horne (Late Show with Stephen Colbert) and more to be announced.

Both Marcella Detroit and Rachel Flowers will be joining Jann for his set on January 23rd at 2 PM on the Martin Guitar Stage at the NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA.

Jann Klose’s latest single “When I’m With You” exploded on YouTube with the official music video passing 150,000 views. Directed by Texan-born filmmaker Sam Casey, the video is shot in true stop motion on location in New York City.

Psychedelic institution Gong have announced their new album Bright Spirit today, set for release on 13th March on the Kscope label. The news comes alongside a new single and video for the track ‘The Wonderment’. Speaking on the announcement, frontman Kavus Torabi shared –

Bright Spirit marks the third instalment in a trilogy that began with The Universe Also Collapses (2019) and continued with Unending Ascending (2023). Recorded with long-time collaborator Frank Byng in his South London studio, Bright Spirit sees Gong at their experimental best, more adventurous and more open to the dream than ever.

And dreams are central here. Not just as lyrical imagery, but as a way of thinking – where psychedelia, love, and the thin membrane between worlds feed into the music. The opener, ‘Dream Of Mine’, unfurls like a transmission from the in-between, its mid-section blooming into harmonies and an angular melody that feels like a key turning in a long-awaited lock. Frontman Kavus Torabi describes it as a moment everything has been pointing toward, a flash of clarity inside the swirl.

Elsewhere, there’s tenderness – unexpected perhaps, but unmistakably Gong, ‘Fragrance Of Paradise’ being Torabi’s first-ever love song. ‘The Wonderment’ finds Gong in deeply meditative form, a mystical and explorative journey both inwards and outwards, timeless and expansive, another piece of the kaleidoscopic puzzle that makes up Bright Spirit.

Houston, TX – Progressive rock artist Leon Alvarado has announced new details surrounding his highly anticipated studio album, The Wicked Forest, slated for release on February 27, 2026.

The album showcases an impressive lineup of guest musicians, including Billy Sherwood, Jon Davison (Yes), and Johnny Bruhns (CIRCA). With its blend of lush atmospheres, dynamic keyboards, driving progressive percussion, and soaring vocals, The Wicked Forest continues Alvarado’s legacy of creating evocative, concept-driven musical experiences.

Following the critical success of The Changing Tide, Alvarado’s upcoming release expands his repertoire with seven new compositions that deliver a contemporary progressive rock sound while honoring the classic spirit of the genre.

The Wicked Forest is dedicated to the memory of Johnny Bruhns, honoring his musical contributions and lasting friendship. He sadly passed away before the album was completed, but his spirit lives on in the music.

There was never another band like The Sensational Alex Harvey Band. They didn’t just play shows – they made every venue feel like their territory, told stories, cracked jokes, and then tore the roof off the place. Scotland has produced its share of musical legends, but SAHB remain something rarer still: a band whose myth came from the stage, night after night, sweat and swagger and steel-toe precision.

Good Evening Boys & Girls is the most comprehensive attempt yet to bottle that lightning. Gathering 16 previously unreleased live performances, this 21-CD set traces the group from the Marquee in ’73 through the band’s final run with the original lineup. It’s a tour through ballrooms, city halls, theatres and festivals – London, Newcastle, Glasgow, New York, Berlin, Reading – and the famous Glasgow Apollo Christmas Show of 1975, long spoken of in fan circles, now finally unearthed.

Much of what’s here comes straight from the source: soundboard and radio recordings, remastered with care by Pete Reynolds (Mott The Hoople, Fleetwood Mac, Wishbone Ash) to preserve their bite and atmosphere. You hear the band as the crew and punters heard them – gritty, elastic, unpredictable, and completely themselves. This is SAHB without varnish, and that’s exactly how it should be.

The box also digs into the story behind the noise. A 144-page hardback book tells the tale with unseen and rare photographs from Ian Dickson, Barry Plummer, Janet Macoska, Steve Emberton, Dick Barnatt, Michael Putland, Kevin Cummins and more, accompanied by new notes from longtime Harvey historian Martin Kielty. Much of the memorabilia – posters, passes, scraps, treasures – comes from Ted McKenna’s private archive and the remarkable collection of Martin Davies, offering a glimpse into the working life of a band that lived as hard as it played.

A replica Glasgow Apollo programme and a signed photograph from Zal Cleminson and Chris Glen complete the set – fittingly, since the box was made with the full cooperation of Zal Cleminson, Chris Glen and sonic architect Dave Batchelor and the estates of Alex, Ted and Hugh McKenna.

For longtime fans, Good Evening Boys & Girls is a chance to step back inside the halls where SAHB became SAHB. For anyone new, it’s an invitation into a world where theatre met street-corner grit, where humour sat beside heartbreak, and where a band of players followed a singular frontman into the wild every single night.

Truthseeker Releases New Single “Where You Belong” December 5, 2025

Truthseeker, the progressive solo project by Brendan James Hayter, released its new single “Where You Belong” on December 5, 2025. This is the first release from Truthseeker in 12 years, the follow-up to 2013’s “Blue Oblivion”. The single was self-recorded and mixed in October/November 2025 at a rehearsal space in Portland, Maine. This new release is a standalone track released in anticipation of the forthcoming album “The Reflection Fields”.

“Where You Belong” employs minimalistic recording methods and a tape-saturated sound, a motif that has continued to be an inseparable part of the overarching musical statement of Truthseeker. The song also marks the beginning of a more overtly progressive approach than previous works, while honoring the signature Truthseeker sound of nostalgic and heart-swelling melodies cutting through a bass-driven wall of distortion and echo, the sound first heard on the 2011 EP “Weightless at Dawn”.

Says Brendan, “The significance of the title is multi-faceted. On a universal level, this song pays tribute to the lifelong search for a sense of destiny and harmony that one thinks they can find in some special place on Earth. Some people never feel the sense of Home in their heart and they research and wonder forever about place after place, waiting for a sign from within that points to a certain town, state, or country as the place where the heart will find peace and life will find meaning. It’s a restless and somewhat tormenting obsession, and at the same time, the unending wonder of it all, the essence of Wanderlust, can be strangely beautiful.”

“On a personal level, this song is a tribute to the earliest days of my marriage. The riffs and melodies that comprise “Where You Belong” came from 2 long looper-pedal improvisations done on the second night after I relocated to my then girlfriend, now wife’s homeland…Very far away from my own, in another country, and very different. As a long distance / international couple there was a much more urgent and directly shared search for a sense of belonging and destiny in either one person’s world or the other’s. Those ambient guitar improvisations that I managed to capture, really resonate the thoughts and feelings of moving far away and finding a sense of belonging through someone, not somewhere. We’ve moved back and forth together, and to this day we still wonder where it is we should live out our days. On a deeper level though, somewhere in the early days, that burning search peacefully reduced itself to embers, when the sky itself became home. My lady’s company was home. Our cat sitting in my lap was home…”

“I made it a critical goal to finish this recording in time for our 10th anniversary to celebrate this entire journey, and to honor our very recently departed cat who was truly the center of our home no matter which house or apartment we were living in. When she got sick and I was tending to her or bringing her to the vet yet again, for some reason the melodies of “Where You Belong” started circling in my head through the whole experience. For both the warming and painful aspects of recent months, this song needed to be the one I finished first and restart Truthseeker with.”

“It’s been many years, but I never stopped working on new Truthseeker music and defining what exactly the band is or isn’t supposed to be. I continued to improve my drumming to be able to adequately support the new songs I was writing, plus I got a good grasp on tone and recording the types of sounds I wanted to hear, on drums and otherwise. I have my own minimal equipment now but that minimalism is a true passion of mine. I don’t believe in modern music production at all. I used 4 mics on the drums, and the mix of the song is just setting the volume of the tracks and adding reverb, no post-processing and not even a computer involved in the entire process. I intend to keep it this way for all future releases!”
